摘要
城市是人类历史的伟大创造,是现代生活的重要空间。自晚清以来,上海开埠,上海走向了一种城市“现代化”道路,而此种城市现代化其历史与逻辑都无法解决根深蒂固的资本主义城市现代化的弊病。城市由谁建设?发展成果由谁共享?“人民城市人民建,人民城市为人民”的理念提出,是中国共产党人对现代城市发展与治理的重要创见,体现了人类对城市美好生活的共同愿景,也彰显着自身实践经验与理论创新的独特性。梳理上海城市发展及其城市形象与符号化指涉的变迁,并回到中国共产党对当今城市治理实践的理论方案,有助于我们理解上海城市及其精神的发展历程,从而为诠释好“人民城市”提供思想资源。
Cities are a great creation of human history and an important space for modern life.Shanghai has started its “modernization”of urban development since it opened up in the late Qing Dynasty.However,the deep-rooted problems in capitalist urban modernization are still unresolved in terms of its history and logic.Who builds the city? Who will share the fruits of development? The concept of “The cities are built by the people and are for the people” proposed by CPC(the Communist Party of China) is an important innovation in the development and governance of modern cities,reflecting the common vision for a better urban life and showcasing the uniqueness of their practical experience and theoretical innovation.By examining the development and symbolism of Shanghai's urban image and its changes,and referring to the CPC's theoretical response to the current practice of urban governance,we can better understand the developing process of Shanghai's urban spirit and provide intellectual resources for interpreting the concept of a “People's City”.
