摘要
该文借助系统功能语言学中的及物性系统,对《纽约时报》和《中国日报》上有关2022年3月21日下午东航MU5735失事的两篇新闻报道进行对比性批评话语分析,意在探究英语新闻语篇所隐藏的意识形态是如何通过及物性系统分析表现出来的,帮助读者透过语篇表面语言特征实现对新闻的深层次理解,培养批判性阅读意识,以期今后能正确看待和认识外媒对有关中国事件的负面报道。
The news reports require authenticity and objectivity.However,as a part of social activities,it is common that an author always leads his readers in his own position implicitly.By means of transitivity this paper selects two news reports on the crashed China Eastern Airlines Flight MU5735 on March 21,2022 from China Daily and New York Times to unravel how New York Times managed to hide ideological meanings underneath the text.The comparative analysis of news articles can assist readers to have a comprehensive understanding by virtue of linguistic features,and establish critical reading awareness to treat the negative China-related reports of western media in the future reading.
