摘要
辛弃疾是南宋著名词人,其词特色鲜明,在宋词中极具代表性。有数十位译者曾将辛弃疾的词译成英文。本文将这些译者作为一个群体,以“译者行为批评”理论为视域,探讨这一群体的译者行为特征。研究发现,英美译者、华裔译者和本土译者既存在一定的共性,同时在翻译内和翻译外也显示出一些译者行为差异,凸显了各自的文化身份和翻译观念。
Xin Qiji was a renowned poet in the Southern Song Dynasty.Xin’s Ci(poems written to existing musical patterns)of distinctive style are well-received as representative works in the Song Dynasty.Dozens of translators,including native translators,Chinese diasporic translators and domestic translators,have translated Xin’s Ci into English.From the perspective of Translator Behavior Criticism,this paper discusses the characteristics of the group of translators’behaviors in translating Xin’s Ci.It is found that there are some differences in their behaviors in terms of intra-translation and extra-translation as well as some similarities,indicating the translators’different cultural identities and translation views.
