摘要
在数字经济蓬勃发展的时代背景下,推动城市低碳发展是实现碳达峰、碳中和目标的必要路径。基于2011—2019年长三角地区41个城市的面板数据,从互联网应用、互联网产出和数字金融发展三方面衡量数字经济发展水平,并探究数字经济对城市碳排放的影响效果和机理路径。研究发现:数字经济发展能够显著降低城市碳排放水平;绿色技术创新、产业结构升级和能源效率提升是数字经济促进地区实现碳减排的有效路径;数字经济发展对碳排放的影响存在明显的异质性。在大城市、人力资本水平较高城市以及非资源型城市,数字经济对碳排放具有显著的抑制作用,反之,则效果不显著。以上研究为深入理解数字经济发展对城市碳排放的影响提供了经验证据,并为促进城市实现低碳发展给出了政策启示。
In the era of digital economy,promoting urban low-carbon development is a necessary path to achieve the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.Based on the panel data of 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2011 to 2019,we have measured the level of digital economy development from three aspects:Internet application,Internet output and digital financial development,and explored the effect and mechanism path of digital economy on urban carbon emissions.The conclusions are as follows:first,digital economy can significantly reduce carbon emissions;second,green technology innovation,industrial structure upgrading and energy efficiency improvement are effective paths to promote regions to achieve carbon emission reduction;third,there is a significant heterogeneity in the impact of digital economy development on carbon emissions.In large cities with higher levels of human capital and non-resource-based cities,the digital economy has a significant inhibitory effect on carbon emissions,while the effect is not significant conversely.The above findings provide empirical evidences for a deeper understanding of the impact of digital economy development on carbon emissions,as well as policy inspirations for promoting the achievement of low-carbon development incities.
