Objective To explore the effects of single-visual,visual-auditory,and visual-passive haptic information on perception control in virtual reality. Methods Thirty-six subjects participated in the high-altitude walking task under three different sensory conditions. The physiological and psychological data were collected. Results (1)Virtual high-altitude walking resulted in higher heart rate, higher electrical skin, and positive and negative attitudes than baseline conditions.(2)Under the visual-passive haptic condition, participants had higher heart rate, higher negative attitude score, lower perceived control and higher immersion;(3)Control was significantly negatively correlated with negative emotion. Conclusion Virtual reality high-altitude stress scenario induces subjects'stress status.Multisensory information can decrease the user's perceived control in a stressful virtual environment. And it could influence the user's physiological response and negative attitude.
