摘要
工业革命、组织变革、企业理论创新都经历了纵向演化过程,而且三者存在明显的逻辑关系,但现有研究尚未构建工业革命影响企业理论创新的分析框架。以前三次工业革命时期的典型企业组织与企业理论为案例,通过质性数据编码,构建了工业革命经由组织变革促进企业理论创新的概念模型,并探讨了工业革命影响企业理论创新的机制和本质。研究发现:第一,工业革命通过“创造性破坏”机制推动组织环境的变化,组织环境变化通过“不确定性”机制促进组织变革;第二,组织变革通过“异常”的出现引起研究者对“研究纲领”进行调整,研究纲领的变化通过“科学的进步”实现企业理论创新;第三,工业革命与企业理论创新的逻辑关联本质上是二者从不匹配到重新匹配的过程。在上述研究基础上,提出了未来组织变革与企业理论创新的思路和方向。文章突破了将工业革命与企业理论创新视为独立研究领域的做法,为探讨二者的关系提供了理论依据。
The industrial revolution(IR),organizational change(OC)and the innovation of theories of the firm(ITF)have all undergone a process of vertical evolution,and there is an obvious logical relationship between them.However,the existing literature has not constructed the analysis framework of the influence of IR on ITF.In this paper,by taking the typical business organizations and theories of the firm of the previous three IRs as cases,and through qualitative data coding,the conceptual model of the IR promoting ITF through OC was constructed,and the mechanism and essence of the IR affecting the ITF were explored.It’s found that:firstly,the IR promotes the change of organizational environment(OE)through the mechanism of“creative destruction”,and the change of OE promotes the OC through the mechanism of“uncertainty”;secondly,the OC causes researchers to adjust research programmes(RPs)through the appearance of“anomaly”,and the shift of RPs promotes the ITF through“scientific progress”;thirdly,the logical association between the IR and ITF is essentially a process from mismatch to rematch.Based on the above,the paper put forward the approaches and directions of future OC and ITF,and broke through the practice of treating IR and ITF as independent research fields,providing a theoretical basis for discussing the relationship between them.
