Objective: To observe application effects of Watson care theory-based doctor-nurse collaboration nursing in patients of cardiac surgery. Methods: A prospective study was conducted on 84 patients of cardiac surgery admitted to this hospital from January 2020 to May 2021.They were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, 42 cases in each. The control group was given the doctor-nurse collaboration nursing, while the observation group was given the Watson care theory-based doctor-nurse collaboration nursing on the basis of that of the control group. The mental state [Connor—Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC)] score, the quality of life [general quality of life inventory-74(GQOLI-74)] score and the incidence of adverse cardiac events were compared between the two groups before and after the nursing. Results: After the nursing, the CD-RISC scores of self-improvement, optimism, tenacity and control in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The GQOLI-74 scores of physical function, psychological function, life function and social function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Further, the incidence of adverse cardiac events of the observation group was 4.76%, which was lower than 19.05% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05) Conclusions: The Watson care theory-based doctor-nurse collaboration nursing for the patients of cardiac surgery can significantly improve their psychological resilience, improve their physical and mental states, improve their quality of life, and reduce the incidence of adverse cardiac events. Moreover, it is superior to single doctor-nurse collaboration nursing.
