摘要
南宋画家李嵩多幅作品中出现的“妇人乳婴”形象,一直被研究者认为是宋代妇女在乳哺自己的儿女,并有不少学者依据该形象推演有关宋代女性社会地位、两性关系等社会学层面问题。甚至据此认为宋代社会高度开放,女性地位已获得显著提升。鉴于上述研究状态,笔者梳理了相关文献,立足两宋社会及历史背景,对宋代妇女身份及行为规范进行了系统考察,认为宋代妇女并无在面对远道而来的货郎与悬丝傀儡艺人时大方袒乳育婴之可能。结合宋代社会历史背景考察图像形态及情境寓意,学界对李嵩笔下“妇人”很可能已形成误读,其真实身份应为宋代高度职业化的乳母。
"Women Nurse Babies"that appear in many paintings of artist Li Song of the Southern Song Dynasty are always considered by researchers as mothers feeding their babies and are used by many scholars to deduce women’s social status and relationship between men and women during the Song Dynasty.They even believe that people were highly open-minded and women’s social status was greatly elevated at that time.Despite research mentioned above,the author,after studying relevant documents and articles and carrying out systematic research on women’s identity and code of behaviors during the Song Dynasty,believes that it is impossible for women at that time to nurse babies in front of vendors and acrobats.Given social and historical backgrounds of that period and the meaning of Li’s paintings,the author thinks that academia might have misunderstood the"women"created by Li Song;rather,the"nursing women"should be foster nurses,which was a profession back then.
