摘要
锂电池在飞机、汽车上的广泛应用及在频繁的运输过程不可避免地引起各类机械振动,对电池性能会造成一定影响并可能引发安全事件。本文研究了低压条件下(-91.2 kPa)机械振动频率和振幅对18650锂电池充放电性能和热失控特征的影响。与常压未振动电池相比,低压条件下,机械振动造成锂电池热失控温度升高、安全阀弹出时间明显改变。低频振动(60 Hz、80 Hz)造成电池短路进程加快,电池容量明显下降。高频(不小于160 Hz)振动导致热失控时气体浓度急剧增加。低频率、大振幅振动对锂电池的性能及安全性影响较大。安全阀弹出时有明显的气体释放,气体信号可以作为锂电池安全预警的一个关键变量。
Extensive application of lithium-ion battery(LIB) in aircraft and cars, and increasing transportation of LIB inevitably causes many kinds of mechanical vibration, which probably affects the battery performance and causes safety events.In this work, the influence of mechanical vibration on the charging and discharging performance and the thermal runaway under the low-pressure conditions have been carefully investigated.In contrast to the normal-pressure un-vibrated batteries, the vibration under low pressure caused the thermal runaway temperature increasing and the time that relief valve ejected changes.Low-frequency vibrations(60 Hz, 80 Hz) cause a faster battery short circuit and a significant decrease in battery capacity.Meanwhile, high-frequency(≥160 Hz) vibrations lead to a sharp increase in the gas concentration during thermal runaway.Mechanical vibration with low frequency and large amplitude has a great impact on the performance and safety of lithium battery.The gas released during relief valve ejecting can be used as an important signal of the LIB safety warning.
