摘要
南开大学哲学院薛富兴教授长期从事美学理论、中国美学史与环境美学的教学与研究,出版、翻译了10余部相关的理论著作,发表了100余篇研究论文。他是艾伦·卡尔松(Allen Carlson)环境美学在国内的主要翻译者与研究者,并对其中存在的漏洞与不合理之处进行了一系列的修正。同时,他也十分重视环境伦理学在自然审美中的作用,并将其引入自然审美理论的建构中。他在融合中西美学思想基础上,反思中国古代自然审美中的比德与借景抒情传统,建构起较为系统的自然审美理论,从而推动了环境美学理论的进一步发展。
Professor Xue Fuxing of Nankai University has long worked in the areas of theories of aesthetics,Chinese aesthetics, and environmental aesthetics as a teacher and a researcher. He is the author or translator of more than 10 academic monographs and has published over 50 articles on aesthetics. As a key translator and interpreter of Allen Carlson’s environmental aesthetics in China, Prof. Xue has modified Carlson’s theory by fixing its defects. He also pays attention to the role of environmental ethics, and invites it into his theoretical construction of aesthetics of nature. Based on his integrative understanding of both Chinese and Western aesthetics and his reflections on the tradition of comparing views to virtues and expressing feelings upon views in ancient Chinese aesthetic appreciation of nature, he has established a systematic theory of aesthetic appreciation of nature and deepened the development of environmental aesthetics. It is worth mentioning that apart from his efforts to establish the theoretical system of aesthetics of nature, Prof.Xue has devoted himself in recent years to applying it to the exploration of special materials for aesthetic appreciation of nature in China, thereby providing a series of paradigms for the application of environmental aesthetics. Li Xiaomeng, a Ph.D candidate in the School of Philosophy at Nankai University, recently made an interview with Prof. Xue. During the in-depth academic exchange, Prof. Xue reviewed and shared his main ideas and methods of studying environmental aesthetics in the past over 10 years. He also talked about his own understanding of the relationship between eco-aesthetics, environmental aesthetics and aesthetics of nature, the importance of environmental ethics, the relationship between aesthetic appreciation of nature, scientific knowledge, and aesthetic appreciation of art, and the possibility for the theory of aesthetics of nature to transform into the foundation of aesthetics. He agreed that there is no boundary of appreciation in aesthetics and there are similarities and differences between aesthetic education of nature and art. At the end of the interview, he made some predictions about the development and status of environmental aesthetics in the future.
