Objective To analyze the effect of continuous nursing by WeChat on the nutritional status and complications of outpatient continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis patients. Methods 100 patients who underwent continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis in the outpatient department of Xuzhou First People's Hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected and randomly divided into control group(n=50)and observation group(n=50).The control group took routine follow-up care, while the observation group used WeChat to implement continuous care. The differences in nutritional status(serum hemoglobin, albumin, ferritin levels),quality of life score, and incidence of dialysis-related complications were compared between the two groups after 3 months of nursing. Results There was no statistically significant difference in nutritional status and quality of life scores between the two groups of patients before nursing(P>0.05).While all the indicators were much higher after nursing in the observation group than the control group(P<0.05);the incidence of dialysis-related complications in the observation group(8.0%)was lower than that in the control group(18.0%)(P<0.05).Conclusions Continuous nursing by WeChat can improve the nutritional status and quality of life, and reduce the incidence of dialysis-related complications of the outpatient continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis patients.
