摘要
积极推动消费升级是畅通国内大循环、实现经济高质量发展的必然要求,本文从消费结构升级视角出发,采用CFPS(中国家庭追踪调查)2016和2018年微观数据,实证考察了政府面向居民的转移支付支出对消费升级的影响。研究表明,获得转移支付能够促进家庭消费升级,主要是通过提升家庭医疗保健支出和日用品支出拉动高层次消费支出占比,这一结论通过了PSM-DID稳健性因果推断。同时,面向居民的转移支付对家庭消费的正向影响显现出异质性,其对于城市高收入家庭、农村低收入家庭以及西部地区城市家庭消费升级无显著促进作用。此外,健康状况和户主年龄能够正向调节转移支付的消费升级效应,而更高的受教育程度则会起到抑制作用。
Promoting consumption upgrading is an inevitable requirement to smooth the domestic cycle and achieve high-quality economic development.From the perspective of consumption structure upgrading,this paper uses CFPS 2016 and 2018 micro data to empirically examine the impact of government transfer payments to residents on consumption upgrading.The study shows that obtaining government transfer payment can promote the upgrading of household consumption.By increasing health care expenditure and daily necessities expenditure to drive the proportion of high-level consumer expenditure.This conclusion passed the PSM-DID robust causal inference.At the same time,the positive impact of public transfer payment on household consumption shows heterogeneity,and it has no significant impact on the upgrading of urban high-income families,rural low-income families and urban households in the western region.In addition,health status and the age of the head of household can positively regulate the consumption escalation effect of public transfer payments,while a higher level of education will inhibit it.
