《灿烂千阳》是卡勒德·胡赛尼的第二部力作。身为美籍阿富汗裔人的卡勒德·胡赛尼,时刻心系阿富汗人民。小说以20世纪70年代至21世纪初的阿富汗为背景,讲述了阿富汗女性令人沉痛的成长经历,并且以独特的叙事手法把她们所遭受的伤痛真实地呈现在读者的面前,引导着读者深入人物的内心,感受其伤痛,从而自觉地反思,对第三世界女性给予深切关怀与同情。此外,在人物的创伤复原、爱的救赎中去感受灵魂的净化,这也是胡赛尼小说的价值所在。
A Thousand Splendid Suns is the second novel published by Khaled Hosseini.Khaled Hosseini,an Afghan-American,is always concerned with the Afghan people.With the background of Afghanistan from the 1970s to the beginning of the 21st century,the author describes the painful growth experience of Afghan women and presents the pain they suffered to the readers through unique narrative techniques,which guiding the readers to go deep into the psychology of the characters and personally experience the pain they have suffered,so as to reflect consciously and give deep concern and sympathy to the third world women.In addition,in the traumatic recovery of the character and the redemption of love to feel the purification of the soul,this is also the value of Hosseini's novels.
