Objective To investigate the effect of placement of uterine balloon stent on prevention of readhesion after moderate to severe intrauterine adhesions. Methods A total of 98 patients with moderate to severe intrauterine adhesions admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Huishan District from June 2018 to June 2019 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 49 patients in each group. All patients were treated with hysteroscopic cold knife separation.Balloon catheters were placed in the control group and uterine balloon stents were placed in the uterine cavity in the observation group. The postoperative efficacy, menstrual recovery and incidence of re-adhesion were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the total effective rate of the observation group at 3 months after operation compared with the control group(P>0.05).The menstrual recovery in the observation group at 3 months after operation was not significantly different from that in the control group(P>0.05);the incidence of re-adhesion at 1 month,3 months, and 6 months in the observation group compared with the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Placing a uterine balloon stent and a balloon urethral catheter after moderate to severe intrauterine adhesions have significant effects, can effectively prevent re-adhesion,promote menstrual recovery.
