摘要
教材短缺是当前内容语言融合(CLI)教学面临的一大困境。在这一背景下,开展本土化CLI教材评估与分析使其不断完善十分必要。本研究采用语料库分析方法,从语言难度和学科内容的完备性两方面对本土化CLI教材的质量进行评价。结果表明,本土化CLI教材语言难度适中,和现行英语专业教材语言难度相当。就学科内容的完备性而言,本土化CLI教材构建了相对完整的学科知识体系,虽然具体概念的知识网络尚略显简单,但基本上能够满足当前教学的需求。基于实证研究结果,本文从微调语言难度、丰富概念网络和凸显辅助内容学习语言三方面提出了完善教材的建议。
The shortage of coursebooks is a major obstacle for Content and Language Integrated(CLI)instruction.In this context,it is of paramount importance to evaluate the local CLI coursebooks for improvement.Adopting a corpus-based approach,the present study assesses the quality of the local CLI coursebooks from the perspectives of linguistic complexity and the completeness of curriculum content.Results indicate that the linguistic complexity of the local CLI coursebooks is moderate,not significantly different from the coursebooks for English majors.As for the completeness of curriculum content,the local CLI coursebooks have created a relatively complete knowledge system of the curriculum,which meets the needs of CLI instruction in China although the knowledge networks of particular concepts are simple.Based on the empirical results,the paper offers three suggestions on improving the quality of the coursebooks by means of finely adjusting the linguistic complexity,enriching the concept networks and making the language for learning more salient.
