摘要
鸦片战争后西方传教士的在华活动因一系列不平等条约的支撑而日形猖獗,致使民教冲突日趋激烈,进而影响到西方列强和清政府的政策立场,影响到清政府内部对如何处理教案的意见分歧和权力冲突,影响到晚清权力格局的演变。同治九年发生的天津教案,就在清廷与奕䜣集团、湘淮势力的权力斗争中,成为内外互动的一个重要的阶段性标志,负责处理这一事件的直隶总督曾国藩也因此而内疚神明、外惭清议,这也是一代权臣曾国藩的精神领袖形象和权势被“杀死”的标志性事件。
The thesis concentrates on discussing the struggle about the principle of dealing with religious cases in Tianjin and power conflict between the Qing Central Government and Zeng Guofan Clique in the Tongzhi periods of the Late Qing Dynasty.In conclusion,the thesis holds that the Tianjin religious case in 1870 is a landmark event in which Zeng Guofan's image and power were killed.
