摘要
敦煌学已成为世界的"显学"。敦煌医学是敦煌学的重要分支,包含丰富的中国传统文化元素,是研究中国古代文明史的一个重要的切入点。目前敦煌医学研究已经取得了许多世界瞩目的研究成果。然而,探讨其特殊性的敦煌医学术语英译的研究尚不多见。文章从《易经》的中国文化原点出发,探究"医易同源、以易释译"的敦煌文献英译策略与方法,并因敦煌医学术语的特殊性与翻译的重要性,选择以敦煌医学为例说明"变译""象译"和"创译"在翻译实践中的运用,以期为敦煌医学术语标准化英译这一亟待解决的外宣翻译课题,提供可资借鉴的思考。
Dunhuangnology has become a global "prominent subject".Dunhuang medicine is an important branch of Dunhuangnology.It contains rich elements of traditional Chinese culture,which is a vital breakthrough point to study the history of ancient Chinese civilization.At present,remarkable results in Dunhuang medical research have been achieved.However,there are few studies on English translation of Dunhuang medical terms.This paper,starting from the origin of Chinese culture, "The Book of Changes",explores the strategies and methods of English translation for Dunhuang documents,according to the principles "Medicine is with the same origin of Yijing ",and " Translation can be interpreted by the theory of Yijing".Because of the particularity of Dunhuang medical terms and significance of its translation,this article takes Dunhuang medicine as an example to illustrate the application of the methods of variation translation,image translation and transcreation.The purpose of this study is to provide some ideas for the urgent issue of English translation of Dunhuang medical terms.
