摘要
“君子远庖厨”作为《孟子》书中的一句话,具有可以丰富展开的义理空间,并使得孟子、儒家的许多思想得到进一步确认。首先,“君子远庖厨”作为君子之“仁心”当下发动的自然结果,具有其纯善无伪的特性,正因为如此,作为孟子口中的一种“仁术”,“君子远庖厨”才得以成其为预养仁心的方法,而不致戕害其本心之仁。其次,“仁”与礼义的关系也存在于“君子远庖厨”这种精炼的表述中,这一层义理虽然在孟子处引而不发,但却被儒家传统所认同,且被后世理学所发扬。
As a saying in Mencius,“Gentlemen keep away from the kitchen”has abundant meanings to expand,and this saying can also confirm many thoughts in Mencius and Confucianism.Firstly,as a natural consequence of instantaneous appearance with Ren of gentlemen,“Gentlemen keep away from the kitchen”could get the feature of veridical goodness.Because of this,as a kind of“Technique of Ren”,in Mencius’s saying,“Gentlemen keep away from the kitchen”could become a method to cultivate gentlemen’s“Heart of Ren”beforehand,while not be harmful to their Ren.Secondly,the relationship between“Ren”and“Li and Yi”also exists in this refined saying.This viewpoint could be supported by the tradition of Confucianism and the development of Neo-Confucianism,even though it was just indicated in Mencius without direct statement.
