摘要
作为"数据赋能未来工程"系列首篇,本研究主要选取美国近年发布的五份有重大影响力的数据科学咨询报告开展较为详实深入的文本分析。这些报告既有来自美国自然科学基金会的整体性战略建议,也有来自企业和咨询机构面对数字化人才就业环境的思考,同时不乏顶尖院校对人才培养与学科建设的研讨,全方位、多维度地呈现了美国各界乃至全球面向数字化转型的工程人才主要的战略思路和工程教育转型方案。本文主要针对上述报告的要点,结合数据科学的内涵、工程师数字化能力建设以及基于计算与数据科学的工程教育转型等若干议题展开讨论,以期对我国工程教育的战略构思和新工科建设的多元化路径提供参考。
As the first paper in the series of"Data Enabled Future Engineering",this study takes in-depth text analysis of five influential data science consulting reports in the United States recent years.These reports include the overall strategic recommendations from the National Science Foundation,and the thoughts of companies and consulting organizations in considering of employment environment for digital talents and there are also discussions on talent cultivation and discipline development from those top-level universities.It presents strategic considerations and educational preparations for digital transformation in the United States and the world.This study focuses on the findings and inclusions of the reports above,and discusses several topics including the definition of data science,the cultivation of engineers’digital capabilities,and the transformation of engineering education integrated with data science education,aiming to providing a strategic approach to engineering education in China and diversified paths for Emerging Engineering Education.
