Nd和Ce对Al-20Si合金组织和性能的影响

Effects of Rare Earth Nd and Ce on Microstructure and Properties of Al-20Si Hypereutectic Al-Si Alloy

摘要 采用Nd和Ce对Al-20Si合金进行变质处理,利用扫描电镜、显微硬度计和万能拉伸试验机对合金的组织和力学性能进行了分析。结果表明,随着Nd含量增加,初生Si的尺寸先减小后增大,抗拉强度先增加后降低。随着Ce含量增加,初生Si尺寸先缓慢减小后快速减小,抗拉强度持续增加。复合添加0.4%的Nd和0.7%的Ce并未细化初生Si,可能原因是Nd能阻碍Ce对初生Si的细化效果。因此,Nd含量需控制在一定范围内,而Ce含量需超过临界添加量,才能较好地细化初生Si。 The effects of modification treatment with single additions and combined additions of rare earth elements Nd and Ce on the microstructure and properties of Al-20Si hypereutectic Al-Si alloy were investigated by SEM,micro-hardness tester and universal tensile machine.The results reveal that with Nd addition,primary Si size in the alloy is decreased firstly and then increased,so the tensile strength of the alloy is increased firstly and then decreased.With Ce content increasing,primary Si size is decreased slowly at first and then dramatically decreased,and tensile strength of the alloy is increased continuously.The primary Si size is not refined with compound addition of 0.4% Nd and 0.7% Ce,which is relative with the Nd inhibiting refinement of Ce on primary Si.With controlling Na addition at a fixed range and adding Ce over critical range,primary Si can be refined obviously.
