The interpretation of currency records in private account books has always been a research difficulty.Taking the Shicang document as an example, this present article examines what the local silver and money currencies in Qing dynasty are called and referred to,and reveals the market-oriented currency naming logic behind it.By comparing the Suzhou code with the Chinese character writing in the price label,it is believed that the price writing reflects the actual use of the local currency and the gradual process of currency unification. The dynamic restoration of the currency circulation process from the perspective of the currency function is helpful for us to deeply understand the relationship between currency bookkeeping and actual usage;Comprehensive land contract analysis can also show the historical changes of the rural social currency circulation structure. The research of accounting history and currency history can advance each other accordingly.
