大学专业与职业发展异质性研究

摘要 本文基于一个引入岗位匹配度的在岗寻职模型,分析了理科和文科专业劳动者职业决策差异的来源:相比于文科专业的劳动者,理科面临的岗位匹配度分布更为离散,较高岗位匹配度带来的工资收益更高。基于某猎头公司人才库数据,本文在实证分析中验证了理论模型的预期:在入职初期,STEM类专业(理工科)的劳动者相比于LEM类(经管法类)和其他文科类的劳动者会更频繁地更换工作;随着工作经验的积累,LEM类专业的劳动者会先于STEM类专业的劳动者进入职业稳定阶段。 This paper sets up an on-the-job searching model incorporated with the matching degree of major and job and explains the theoretical mechanism for the differences in job distribution,efficient wage,and bargaining power.These factors lead to differences in job searching and job changing decision of graduates of science-related major and those of liberal arts-related major.The empirical work with the dataset of head-hunting company supports the theoretical analysis:at the first stage of career,the STEM(Science,technology,engineering,mathematics)labor force tends to change job more frequently than the LEM(Law,economics,management)and the other arts-related labor forces.As workers gain experience through time,LEM major labor would enter the stable career stage earlier than the STEM major labor.
