摘要
The investigation of near-synonyms is of great significance to the study of English vocabulary and teaching . The British National Corpus (BNC) is chosen to analyze and distinguish synonyms for Chinese English learners, which provide some implica- tions for English teaching, especially for lexical teaching. The results show that near synonyms differ in their collocational behavior and frequency.
