摘要
地方城市的对外传播成为新时代国家形象建构的重要环节。对美国广播公司的系列涉渝纪录片进行符号文本分析,研究发现美国广播公司在对重庆形象的赋意过程中甄选了标出性符号,利用了组合轴频繁操作构筑了点面结合的重庆空间符号;采用解码的前置与同构机制生产了重庆形象的符号意义;利用符号底本的原型想象拉近了重庆与美国民众的意义距离。纪录片以奇观化、在地化的符号策略取代了传统涉华纪录片以政治意识形态为主的表征策略,实现了符号意义生产的维度转向。
The international communication of local cities has become an important link in the construction of national image in the new era.On the symbolic text analysis of American Broadcasting Company's series of documentaries about Chongqing,the research finds that ABC selected the marked symbol in the process of giving Chongqing image,used the frequent operation of the combination axis to construct the Chongqing spatial symbol with the combination of point surface,and produced the symbolic meaning of Chongqing image by pre-decoding homogenous mechanism.Using the archetype of the symbol base imagination to bring Chongqing closer to the American people's meaning distance.The documentary replaces the traditional Chinese-related documentary's characterization strategy with the symbolic strategy of spectacle and localization,and realizes the dimensional shift of symbolic meaning production.
