Objective:To investigate the effect of perceived employability of university graduates on their active job-seeking behavior and subjective well-being,as well as the mediating effect of job-seeking self-efficacy and the moderating effect of gender. Methods:The perceived employability scale, job search self-efficacy scale, active job-seeking behavior scale and index of well-being scale were administered to 550 university graduates. Results:The results showed that:(1)perceived employability had a significant positively predictive effect on active job-seeking behavior and subjective well-being;(2)the job search self-efficacy played a role of mediator between perceived employability and outcome variables(active jobseeking behavior and subjective well-being);(3)gender moderated the relationship between perceived employability and job-seeking self-efficacy.Specifically,for male graduates, the indirect effect of perceived internal employability on active job-seeking behavior and subjective well-being via job-seeking self-efficacy was stronger than that in female graduates. Conclusion:Perceived employability is also an important personal resource for university graduates. Its positive influence on outcome variables(active job-seeking behavior and subjective well-being)is a moderated mediation model.
