摘要
法国诗人亨利·米肖于1933年出版了他的东方游记《一个野蛮人在亚洲》。全书从题目到内容都一反传统,极具个人特色,成为批评家们谈论不绝的经典之作。本文着眼于游记的创作背景,追溯米肖与东方文明的渊源,侧重围绕“野蛮人”这一核心称谓,梳理它在欧洲历史上的概念演变,进而探讨米肖是出于何种深意以“野蛮人”自比,最终得出与国内学者普遍解读不同的结论:米肖此举不止出于对东方文化的认同与崇拜,更是为了赋予“自我”一种绝对自由的视角,超越东西之间、文明与野蛮之间的二元对立,以此勾勒一幅崭新的世界文明图景。
The French poet Henri Michaux published his travel book Un barbare en Asie(A Barbarian in Asia)in 1933.In departure from tradition,he developed a unique and distinctive style in both the title and the content of his work.Focusing on the Oriental civilization which inspired Michaux,and the evolution of the core concept"barbarian"throughout the history of Europe,the present study intends to explore the signification of the"barbarian"to which Michaux refers and to draw a different conclusion from that of other Chinese critics.
