摘要
With the initiation of the construction plan of "new engineering", the research and discussion on new engineering in China areunprecedentedly active, and practical exploration has been on the way. In this paper, starting from the internal and externalperspectives, combined with the development trend of economy and science and technology, and the need of university'sinnovation and development, the necessity of building and developing new engineering was analyzed;based on the currentpractice of Engineering education, the intrinsic characteristics of the new subject were put forward, and the current and long-termproblems that need to be solved to promote the innovation of engineering education were discussed.
