教育程度与居民幸福感:直接效应与中介效应 被引量:39

Education and Happiness:Direct Effect and Mediating Effect

摘要 教育是推动综合国力提升和社会文明进步的核心力量,也被认为是提高个人收入水平和幸福感知能力的重要途径。采用CHIP2013数据和中介效应模型,检验我国是否存在"教育与幸福悖论",探讨教育"致幸福"的路径和机制,分析教育"致幸福"的城乡差异以及这种差异在高等教育扩招前后的变化。实证结果表明,我国教育能够显著提升居民主观幸福感,尚不存在"教育与幸福悖论";教育"致幸福"的机制包含直接效应和中介效应,并且以直接效应为主;教育"致幸福"存在城乡差异,教育对农村居民的直接效应大于城镇居民,而中介效应小于城镇居民;高等教育扩招前,教育对城镇居民幸福感提升的直接效应和收入中介效应均大于农村居民,扩招后,教育对农村居民幸福感提升的直接效应大幅提高,收入中介效应依然小于城镇居民。为此,要优化教育资源配置,实现教育资源的均等化,让农村居民享有公平而有质量的教育。 Education,the central force pushing forward the comprehensive national power and social civilization,is viewed as an important approach to improving personal income and the sense of happiness.This study uses the CHIP2013 data and the mediating effect model to test whether the"paradox between education and happiness"exists in China,explores the approaches to and the mechanism for the naccess to happiness through education,"and analyzes the difference in the"access to happiness through education"between urban and rural areas,and the change of the difference before and after the college enrollment expansion.The results show the following:China's education can significantly enhance people's sense of happiness,and the aforesaid paradox does not exist in China;the mechanism for the"access to happiness through education"includes a direct effect and a mediating effect,with the former being dominant;there is a difference in the"access to happiness through education"between urban and rural areas in that education has a greater direct effect and a smaller mediating effect on rural residents than on urban residents;before the college enrollment expansion,education had a greater direct effect on the sense of happiness of urban residents than on that of rural residents,and a greater mediating effect on the income of urban residents than on that of rural residents;after the college enrollment expansion,education has a significantly increasing direct effect on rural residentsz sense of happiness,but still a smaller mediating effect on their income.Therefore,we are supposed to optimize the allocation of educational resources on an equal footing so that rural residents can enjoy fair and quality education.
