摘要
With the development of cognitive linguistics, the study of metaphor has developed noticeably in the past few decades at home and abroad. In order to help with the training of metaphoric competence in China, this paper reports the research by Chinese scholars in this field in the new century, focusing on the awareness of metaphor in a text, meaning embodied by metaphor in a text, the value of metaphor in speech and writing, and the training of metaphoric competence.
