摘要
文章以勒菲弗尔的操纵理论为指导,选取《喧哗与骚动》李文俊译本为研究对象,剖析了作品在翻译时的社会主流意识形态和诗学因素对作者选取译作和翻译策略的影响,以及赞助人因素对译文质量及其社会地位所起的作用。研究发现,李文俊在翻译前和翻译中都受到当时社会主流意识形态和诗学的影响,而《喧哗与骚动》李文俊译本之所以被奉为经典则在一定程度上归功于出版社这一赞助人。
Guided with Lefevere’s manipulation theory,this paper selects the Chinese version of“The Sound and The Fury”as target to analyze the influence of social mainstream ideology and poetics on the author’s choice of translation and translation strategies,as well as the effect of patronage on the quality and social status of translation.It is discovered that Li Wenjun was influenced by the mainstream ideology and poetics before and during translation,and the reason why Li Wenjun’s translation of“The Noise and the Fury”was regarded as a classic is partly attributed to the patronage of the publishing house.
