摘要 脑血管外科作为一个"学科"的概念在19世纪后叶已初步形成.一些杰出的先驱者对颅内动脉瘤、脑血管畸形和脑卒中的临床表现以及脑血管解剖方面的观察和研究为后来脑血管外科的发展奠定了基础.20世纪中,脑血管外科得到了迅速而全面的发展.一些高、新科技成就被引进到脑血管病的诊断和治疗之中,使神经外科医生的武器库日益丰富,治疗效果也大为改观.20世纪末叶,脑血管外科的治疗方法成为微侵袭神经外科的重要组成部分.近年来分子生物学技术已应用于治疗脑缺血、脑血管痉挛等方面,成为分子神经外科(molelular neurosurgery)的重要内容.
