Progress in theoretical research into track structure and energy deposition distribution of heavy ions is introduced, and some research results are given,such as a Monte Carlo model of heavy ion ired structure calculation, frequellcy distribution of energy deposition inside a eleCtron track and radial dose distribution around a heavy ion path. Moreover, research direction in future is also analysed.
