本文讨论了正交电磁场中康普顿和汤姆逊散射。结果表明强电扬的介入会显著地改变这种散射的性质,具体的数值计算表明对于光学厚源,存在一康普顿散射的透明“窗口”,使逃逸出来的光子呈右旋偏振,这可作为未来观测对用康普顿散射解释γ射线爆能谱的一个重要判据。
We show that the properties of Compton and Thomson scatterings are substantially altered when an orthogonal electromagnetic field is included. We illustrate and emphasize this significant alteration by considering a few special cases. The results presented here then indicate that there is a transparetn 'window' of the right-handed circular polarizatioa photons for the optically thick Compton scattering sources, which can be tested by the future observation of gamma ray bursts.
