英语数词既可实指也可虚指,既具有精确性也有模糊性;有些数词的联想义常使其拥有某种神秘的色彩。数词常常被用作比喻、夸张、对比、强调和委婉等修辞手段,以使语言更加生动、形象有力。
English numerals may refer to actual or imaginary accounts with accuracy or fuzziness respectively.The association of some numerals makes the numbers magic and mystic. Numerals are often used asmetaphor、hyperbole、euphemism or used for emphasis and contrast, which makes the language morevivid and more forceful.
