摘要
在1∶25万赤布张错幅区域地质调查中,于原划下二叠统开心岭石灰岩组中发现晚二叠世长头期Gallowayinella类动物群化石,表明该区二叠纪地层非属早二叠世,而似应与青海省南部晚二叠世鸟丽群对比。
During the1∶250000regional geological survey of the Chibuzhang Sheet,through section mea-surements and fossil identification,a Late Permian Changxingian fusulinid Gallowayinelle fauna was found in a suite of dark gray,medium-bedded biomicrite and micrite in the vicinity of Geladan at the source of the Yangtze River.This fauna may be correlated with the Changxingian fossils in South China,but the fossil-bearing horizon is notably higher than that in South China.The strata containing the Gallowayinelle fauna in the area were originally named the Early Permian Kaixinling Limestone Formation.The fossils found newly suggest that their age is not Early Permian,and their lithology may be correlated with that of the Late Permian Wuli Group in the southern part of Qinghai Province.
