摘要
敦煌莫高窟第38窟西壁新发现一则题记,其内容为金元之际大同八年东北地区的东夏僧人道洪建菩提像。道洪极有可能是一名掌握塑像技艺的工匠,按照当时流行的印度波罗样式造像风格,在莫高窟第38窟内建造一身降魔触地印菩提像。
An inscription on the west wall of Cave 38 in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes has newly been found. It contains the image of Bodhisattva built in the eighth year of Datong by Daohong,who was a Buddhist monk of the Eastern Xia Kingdom in during the Jin and Yuan Dynasties. Daohong was probably a craftsman who mastered the art of sculpture,and in accordance to the popular Indian style at that time,he built a Bodhisattva image in Cave 38 of Mogao Grottoes.
