Pride and Prejudice, as the most popular of Jane Austen’s novels, has a significant position in western literature. The novel portrays lives of several ladies, especially their marriage, which reflects the author’s introspection of women’s situation in the late 18th century when the feminism was sprouting up across the Europe. The thesis explores Pride and Prejudice from the perspective of feminism to embody an unique feminist ideology wherein, revealing the inferior female status, female morality and thoughts of marriage.
