Under the background of economic globalization, the labor gap between the north and the south is in? creasingly widening, and the two countries have differences on the issue of labor standards. Developed countries, led by the United States, actively advocate linking international trade to labor standards. Four of the core labour stan? dards are the basis for defining whether a country should be included in the international labor standards, so as to study the influencing factors of some countries' reluctance to be included in the international labor standards. By collecting cross-sectional data of 187 ILO member states in 2016, this paper establishes the Probit, Logit and Ex? treme value models in the binary response model, and conducts an empirical analysis on the approval of core labor standards of member states and their influencing factors. The empirical results show that there is a positive correla? tion between labor standards and the level of economic development. Whether to include international labour stan? dards or not depends on economic factors, and countries make their decisions mainly based on the consideration of economic costs.
