摘要
网上写作实验室(Online Writing Lab)是因特网上一类重要的写作资源,是我国外语教师了解国外教学动态、学习国外先进教学手段的好去处.本文介绍了网上写作实验室的发展历程,主要内容,和三个有代表性的网站,旨在引起大家的注意,从而更好地利用这类资源.本文还介绍了华中科技大学网上写作中心,希望抛砖引玉,让更多的学校利用网络来辅助学生的英语写作.
Online Writing Labs (OWL) are important writing resources on the Internet. They provide a good place for English teachers to retrieve resources and discuss writing matters with their foreign counterparts. This article introduces the history of OWL, its main contents, and three typical OWLs. It is intended to draw teachers' attention to this type of resources for a better and full use of OWLs. The Online Writing Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology is also introduced in this article in the hope of stimulating more universities to use the network to assist students' writing.
