摘要
词块(lexical chunks)是真实交际中以高频率出现的大于单词的语言现象。它融合了语法、语义和语境的优势,并且形式较为固定。以词块作为英语词汇教学的单位,符合认知的基本规律,并且在听说读写等各方面都有着其它教学法所不能比拟的优势。本文首先给出词块的定义和分类,然后论述它在听说、读写教学中具有的潜在优势,并探讨了它在语言习得中的普遍意义。最后,提出了词块教学的具体实施步骤并指出它的不足之处。
Lexical chunks are the unity of grammatical rules, semantic meanings and pragmatic contexts. Being larger linguistic units which appear in the real communication at high frequency and more fixed in structures, they have many advantages of being the ideal unit in English learning and teaching. This essay started by defining and classifying lexical chunks, and then pointed out their potential advantages in the respects of listening and speaking, reading and writing. It also probed the universality of lexical chunks in the process of language acquisition. At last, the specific procedures of practising the lexical approach were designed and its deficiency was also predicted.
