摘要
英汉两种语言分属于不同的语系。不同的国度之间的历史背景、社会文化、民族风情等都有很大的差异。本文着重从英汉词语、习语、句子结构和语用场景等四个方面所蕴含的文化差异对英汉翻译的影响进行论述。旨在让广大从事英汉翻译者认识到在英汉翻译过程中应该透过语言表层结构 ,把握其深层含义 ,摆脱因文化差异而造成的理解和翻译障碍 ,从而使英汉翻译既准确又可靠 ,达到跨文化交际的目的。
English and Chinese belong to different language families. There are great differences in historical background, social culture,national customs among the countries. In this paper,the author mainly discuss the impacts on translation made by cultural differences, which caused by the phrases, idioms, sentence structures and the domain of language performance, between English and Chinese, to make the numerous translators realize that we should see through the appearance of language to get at the essence, get rid of the barriers of understanding and translation, make sure that the E-C translation is not only correct but also reliable, and attain the goal of Trans-cultural communication.
