摘要
为了解决无线上网中误码率较高和传输延迟大的问题,需要有一种用于改善有线和无线链路的综合性技术。主要研究了TCP/IP协议栈在当前和正在发展的无线链路上提供可靠连接时,由无线链路特性所带来的TCP性能问题。首先分析了无线链路的特性,然后指出了无线链路上的TCP性能所受到的影响,介绍了用于解决这些问题的各种方案,考察了它们的优缺点。最后,描述了未来无线网络的演进,提出需要多层协议配合的设想。
To solve the problems of high BER and large transmission delay in wireless Internet,there should be a comprehensive technology to improve wireline and wireless link.Problems of TCP performance brought by wireless link features when TCP/IP protocol stack provides reliable connection on existed and developing wireless link are studied.Firstly,the features of wireless link are analyzed,then the impacts on TCP performance caused by wireless link are pointed out.Various solutions to these problems are introduced and their advantages and disadvantages are reviewed.Finally,the evolution of wireless network in the future is de-scribed.The assumption that multiple-layer protocol coordination is put for -warded.
