摘要 Objective To study the expression of a inhibito r gene,survivin , in pituitary adenomas and its relationship with the expression of caspase-3gen e.Method Using streptavidin-biotin peroxid ase(SP),the expression of surviv ing,caspa se-3protein was examined in 8normal pituitary tissue and 38pitu itary adenomas.Result Survivin was expressed in 23of 38cases of pituitary a denomas,in contrast,normal pituitary tissue did not express surviving.Positiv e expression rate of PRL group,GHgroup,Mixed group in pituitary adenomas was 12/17,7/13,4/8,respective-ly.Overexpression of surviving was no t related with the tumor type(P >0.05).Meanwhile,surviving positive rat e in caspase-3positive and negative groups was 5/14,79%.The result s how ed it was strongly associated with ca spase-3expression(P <0.05).C onclusions Apoptosis suppression by surviving play an important role in a popto sis of pituitary adenomas.Sur vivin could be a new diagnostic /therapeutic tar get in pituitary adenoma s.
