This paper introduces the background and meaning of Road Traffic Guide System.It analyses the organization of data structure in the system and the establishment of traffic database,the choice of the best route.Finally it contains the work process,the advantage and shortcoming of Road Traffic Guide System in term of GIS and GPS.
