The Physiological Effects of He-Ne Laser Irradiation on Seed Germination of Elaeagnus Mollis Diels

摘要 翅果油树(Elaeagnus mollis Diels)为我国特有古生物植物,其种子发芽率很低。实验探究不同时间He-Ne激光(波长为632.8nm,功率密度为8mW/mm2)辐射处理对翅果油树种子发芽率的影响,并对激光处理下种子活力、种子萌发过程中过氧化氢酶活性(CAT)及超氧化物歧化酶活性(SOD)进行了测定,以了解He-Ne激光对种子萌发的生理效应。结果表明,一定时间的He-Ne激光辐照促进了CAT及SOD活性的提高,保护了膜的完整性,提高了种子活力,从而提高了种子发芽率。最佳辐射处理时间为3min,此时发芽率最大。超过3min,种子活力、SOD和CAT酶活性明显降低,种子萌发明显受到抑制。对He-Ne激光辐射对翅果油树种子萌发的生理效应的研究,有望在实践中为提高翅果油树种子的发芽率提供更加有效的依据和方法,从而更有效地保护这种珍稀的濒危植物。 Elaeagnus mollis Diels is a unique paleontology plant in China, and its seed germination rate is very low. Experi ments were conducted to investigate the effect of irradiation treatment of He-Ne laser (wavelength 632.8 nm, power density 8 mW/mm2) on the germination rate of Elaeagnus mollis Diels seed at different times. The vitality of seeds under laser treat-ment, catalase activity (CAT) and superoxide dismutase activity (SOD) during seed germination were measured to understand the physiological effects of He-Ne laser on seed germination. The results show that He-Ne laser irradiation for a certain period of time promotes the increase of CAT and SOD activities, protects the integrity of the membrane, increases the seed vigor, and thus increases the seed germination rate. The best radiation treatment time is 3 minutes, and the germination rate is the high-est. Over 3 minutes, seed vigor, SOD and CAT enzyme activities are significantly decreased and seed germination is significant- ly inhibited. The study of the physiological effects of He-Ne laser radiation on the seed germination of Elaeagnus mollis Diels is expected to provide more effective basis and method for increasing the germination rate of Elaeagnus mollis Diels seed in prac-tice, thus more effectively protecting this rare and endangered plant.
