Tribute article for 65th anniversary of establishment of People's Medical Publishing House: On electronic publishing mode based on 5G network technology for medical journals and its role in boosting development of medical education

摘要 5G时代的临近将为医学教育和出版行业带来巨大的变化,而结合医学教育探讨5G办刊模式的相关文献目前国内外未见报道。本文通过分析5G高速率、低延时、大容量等应用优势,以推动一流本科教育、继续医学教育、公众健康教育发展为目标,提出医学类电子期刊应用5G技术办刊新模式,为电子期刊顺应5G时代变革提供参考。 The upcoming 5G era will bring unprecedented changes to the field of medical education and publishing. However, the medical literature concerning the medical education and electronic publishing mode based on 5G network technology has never been reported in China and other foreign countries. This article puts forward an electronic publishing mode based on 5G network technology for medical journals via analyzing advantages of 5G network technology such as high speed, low latency and large-capacity access so as to advance the first-class undergraduate education, continuing medical education and public health education, and to offer reference to the transformation of electronic journals in the 5G era.
