摘要
学科包括知识体系和学科建设(或学科制度)双重形态的内涵,它是大学制度的核心和主干。大学的组织形式是学科赖以存在的方式,是知识系统这一内核的制度外壳。1924年9月,辅仁大学创办人设计了一个理想化的学科愿景,但是初建时只设立了文科4系。1929年夏,学校为适应国民政府教育部的要求,被动地扩大学科规模。抗战期间是辅仁大学的兴盛期,又主动增设了一些系科。辅仁大学在20世纪30-40年代发展成为一所多种学科构成的综合性大学,但是在学科建设上,基本坚持"小而精"的原则,在兼顾学科均衡的基础上突出文史等重点学科。辅仁大学尽管存在的历史非常短暂,但在学科建设与发展方面却留给我们一份珍贵遗产。
The disciplines, which include knowledge system and discipline construction, are the coreand backbone of the university system. The organizational form of the university is the way of the existence ofthe discipline, and the institutional shell of the core of the knowledge system. The discipline vision of Fu JenUniversity founders in September 1924, not only almost covered western Christian theology, western mainhumanity and social sciences, western arts and Letters language, sciences, engineering and art, but alsoincluded main discipline of Chinese studies, such as Literature, Philosophy and History. However, theuniversity only established four departments of liberal arts from 1927 to 1928. It was forced to convert theliberal arts into college of arts, added immediately school of science and school of education in the summer of1929, and passively set 12 departments, in accordance with the university regulations by the ministry ofEducation of the Government of the Republic of China. Fu Jen developed into a multidisciplinary university in1930s, adhered to the principle of ‘ small and outstanding’ in discipline construction, and emphasized thedisciplines of literature and history on disciplines of balance. Fu Jen University existed shortly in modernChina, but it left us a precious legacy in the experience of the discipline construction and development.
