In 2001 foreign vessels visited Chinese ports for more than 15hich brings about great opportunities for the developmentof ship repairing industry in China. Particularly, in the first threequarters of last year, vessels lined up for repair at Shanghai and Dalianports, characterized by increasing ship repair production value andlarger ship repair tonnage.But, China's ship repairing industry must operate under WTO regu-lations and the key issue is to carry out self-regulation within theindustry.
