摘要
介绍了一种快定时前置放大器的设计。该前放由白化噪声滤波器、两级电压放大器和一级R-C低通滤波器构成,具有上升时间快、定时精度高、低噪声、高计数率等特点。测试发现,该前放的典型输出幅度为400 mV,上升时间为4ns,带宽高于70 MHz,均方根噪声3.3 mV,对应信噪比200 dB,定时精度可达20 ps,可满足设计使用要求。
A fast timing amplifier for PMT detector in CSRe internal target are designed and tested. The amplifier is composed of a whitening noise filter,a pair of non-inverting amplifier and a low pass filter.The amplifier are tested by a waveform generator and a PMT and the amplitude of it is about 400 mV,the rising time is less than 4ns while the bandwidth is higher than 70 MHz. The noise performance is tested by statistics and the RMS value of the noise is about 3.3 mV,which corresponding to the SNR of 200 dB and the timing jitter is better than 20 ps. The amplifier has been successfully applied to the CSRe internal target in Institute of modern physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences for the beam-target cross section measurement.
