A review of the epidemiology and economic burden of herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia

摘要带状疱疹是由水痘-带状疱疹病毒引起的急性病毒感染性疾病,带状疱疹后神经痛为其最主要的并发症。带状疱疹和带状疱疹后神经痛给各个国家造成巨大的疾病负担和经济负担。本文对带状疱疹及带状疱疹后神经痛的流行病学特点及其所造成的经济负担进行综述,旨在为我国控制带状疱疹和带状疱疹后神经痛提供新的研究方向。 Herpes zoster is a kind of acute viral infection caused by varicella zoster virus.The postherpetic neuralgia isthe main complication of herpes zoster.Herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia cause huge disease burden and economicburden in the world.In this paper,we reviewed the epidemiological characters and economic burden of herpes zoster andpostherpetic neuralgia based on the latest studies,and provided a new research direction for prevention and treatment for ourcountry.
